Chris Brown Finally Mans Up and Apologizes

Chris Brown has come out with an official apology video 5 months after the assault involving Rihanna. He says:

“Since February, my attorney has advised me not to speak out, even though, ever since the incident, I wanted to publicly express my deepest regret and accept full responsibility. I felt it was time that you heard directly from me that I am sorry.

I cannot go into what happened, and most importantly, I’m not going to sit here and make any excuses. I take great pride in me being able to exercise self-control and what I did was inexcusable. I am very sad and very ashamed of what I’ve done.”

Hmmm...I'm not buying it. He plead not guilty when he stood up in front of the judge but now that all the “deals” have been made, he comes out saying he's sorry for doing what he did. If that's not a forked tongue talking (as my Mom would say), I don't know what is. I believe he was only looking out for himself when he sat there and tried to say he didnt do it. Now he's only looking out for himself with this "I'm sorry" statement just to salvage that career of his. Boy stop! He has a CD dropping soon. I wonder if this apology would have been offered up if that album wasn't coming out. Doubt it. But honestly, the only person he owes an apology to is Rihanna. He didn't beat the crap out of any of this fans.

Anyway, is this too little too late or does this put him in a better light in your eyes? Was this something his management advised him to do b/c his career is down the toilet or was this actually from the heart?

In other news...WTF is he wearing???
